Our Annual meeting of members has been postponed until further notice.

The following are nominated to the Board of Directors of Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union for 2-year term.

Three (3) positions open.

INCUMBENT – KERRY HIGGINS – OCCUPATION: Business Owner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE that applies to Credit Union position: Lived in Grand Coulee area for 50 years. Graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School in 1984. Attended Spokane Community College. Owner of Coulee Hardware. I have worked in retail most of my career. I’ve worked for Do It Best Corp as a Retail Development Specialist covering Central Washington, Western Washington and Alaska. I have served on the Ephrata Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I have coached youth baseball and soccer. I am active in the community. I am currently serving as Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce President.  I have served on Board of Directors for the Credit Union since 2008.

 INCUMBENT – CHRISTI PORTCH – OCCUPATION: Teacher & Business Owner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE that applies to Credit Union position: Graduated from LRHS in 1994. Attended Seattle Pacific University, earned a teaching certificate and a BA in Social Science. After graduating, I went to work at Wells Fargo and worked for five years as a Registered Assistant for a Financial Advisor and became licensed to trade stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. In 2004 I completed my MBA through the University of Phoenix. I currently teach first grade for the Grand Coulee Dam School District and have for the last 16 years. My husband and I also own and operate Loepp Furniture, which has been serving the area since 1935. I served four years as the treasurer of the Grand Coulee Dam Co-Op Preschool and serve as the treasure for the Grand Coulee Dam Teachers Association. I am also a member of PEO and the PTA. I have been a member of CDFCU since I was five years old, and I remember my first lesson in banking when I deposited my shiny silver dollar into my savings account. I have served on the CDFCU board since 2013.

INCUMBENT – NICOLE RASMUSSEN – OCCUPATION: Teacher

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE that applies to Credit Union position:  I have a B.A. in Elementary Education and earned my Masters of Education from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have lived in and been part of multiple thriving communities in North Dakota, Texas and Washington state. Besides education, I have worked with youth and families in the church, group home setting and within community programs. My family and I have lived in the Grand Coulee Dam area since August, 2018. We enjoy being part of the community both in and outside of the school.  I have served on the CDFCU Board of Directors since 2019.

Any member desiring to run for office may also have his/her name placed in nomination by petition. That nomination by petition shall require one percent (1%) of the primary members’ signatures or approximately 146 signatures. The nomination by petition shall also include biographical data and qualifications similar to that presented by the nominating committee. Nominations by petition shall be accompanied by a signed certificate from the nominee stating that person is agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected to office. All nominations by petition and nominations from the nominating committee will be on the ballot. The final date for closing of nominations by petition is March 6, 2020. The Annual Meeting will be held on April 16, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union, 402 N Columbia Ave, Coulee Dam, WA.  Ballot boxes will be located in the branch offices and at the Coulee Dam Main Office, if there are more than three individuals running for the Board positions.
