At Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union, we are committed to protecting our members. We use a state-of-the-art fraud monitoring system, Falcon Fraud Manager, to screen card activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Frequently Asked Question

Individuals calling from Falcon will identify themselves as Card Services/Security (for credit) and Transaction Review Dept (for Debit and ATM). They will add that they are calling on behalf of CDFCU and will call only when there is suspicious or unusual activity on your credit, debit, or ATM card. When they are unable to reach you, they will leave their phone number, (800) 449-7728,and a short message. Please note, they will be unable to provide other CDFCU services to you.

CDFCU encourages all members to monitor and identify any unauthorized activity on their accounts on a regular basis. Credit and Debit card holders can enroll online to monitor their card activity by registering for online service. ETeller uses the new Extended Validation SSL 256- bit strong encryption for your protection. If you are using Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer, just look for the Green Bar to validate your protection!

You should expect a Falcon Fraud Analyst to ask you to validate if a specific transaction(s) is valid or not. They may ask you to verify the last 4 digits of your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) or Social Security Number (SSN) to ensure they are speaking with the true cardholder. They will not ask for your card number, password, or other personal identification information but they may ask for transaction history as another means of identification. If you are unavailable to take the initial call, a message will be left on your voicemail.

Your card may be blocked. However, CDFCU may choose to re-open your card at any time. It is recommended that you contact CDFCU ahead of time to inform us of your plans. We also suggest you write down their phone number, (800) 449-7728, and take it with you in the event that your card is blocked and you need to reach Falcon immediately.

If Falcon cannot reach you by phone, a temporary block will be placed until the transaction can be validated or confirmed as fraud, please contact CDFCU.

Once you confirm the transaction(s) as fraud, your card will be closed and you will need to contact the credit union to have your card reissued.

Our fraud monitoring system, Falcon, will place a temporary block on your card and attempt to contact you directly at the phone number we have on file for you to verify the transaction(s) in question. Your card may be permanently blocked if we cannot establish contact with you after a reasonable amount of time has elapsed.

There will be no change to your current service, unless you experience fraudulent or suspicious activity on your card(s).
